Eastern Black Swallowtail butterfly and caterpillar

August 10th, we found 6 little caterpillar in the yard. They are about 3/8th to half inch (4-6mm)in sizes. All 6 of them are slightly diffrent in size. I took 4 of them and put them in a glass jar with host plant(Dill). At this stage, black body with one white stripe about in the middle and had spikes. They did't move much.

August 13th, we lost one of them that I left in the yard.

3 of them changed to next stage of their life by shedding skin with in 3 days. I don't know what they are eating, but their size getting bigger each day. I noticed that they ate shadded skin.

After 6 days, the lone outsider shed skin.
